DU academic calendar revised again

Acting on recent orders issued by the Delhi High Court asking the Delhi University to change its academic calendar,the university has for the second time in the academic session revised its calendar,pushing back semester exams. The Registrar has appealed to the Principals of various colleges to organise classes on Saturdays and Sundays to compensate for the loss of teaching days.

18 more Games projects under CVC scanner

Widening its probe into alleged corruption in Commonwealth Games,the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has brought 18 more projects related to the event under its scanner. Replying to an RTI query,the anti-corruption watchdog said it has found alleged irregularities in the sale of VIP passes,installation of fitness equipment and appointment of placement broker and manipulation of tenders floated by different government civic and construction agencies here and had sought reports. Besides,the Commission is looking into the allegations made by an official of an infrastructure firm against CWG Organising Committee chief Suresh Kalmadi for accepting a bribe.
