Toll revised for Gurgaon-Alwar Road
Gurgaon: The Haryana government has decided to revise the toll rates on the Gurgaon-Alwar Road. The move is aimed at discouraging drivers from taking a diversion from NH 8. The decision was taken during a Cabinet meet in Chandigarh on Wednesday. At present,commuters use the Gurgaon-Sohna-Nuh-Alwar Road to escape the toll on NH-8. The revised rates would be effective immediately and the increase would be 1.5 times,sources said. As per revised rates,trucks,buses and multi-axle vehicles will have to pay Rs 300 per trip. Maxi cabs will have to pay Rs 20 and light commercial vehicles will pay Rs 50. Vehicles with more than 10 tyres will pay Rs 450.
One arrested with 1 kg heroin
New Delhi: A 22-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly supplying heroin. Police reportedly recovered 1 kg heroin from him. Mujhaid Ali was arrested from near GTB Hospital,when came there to supply heroin to a client. Ali and his aide Nafis are from Allahpur villager of Badaun,UP. They used to supply heroin in Delhi and NCR, said Arun Kampani,DCP (Special Cell). Police said the accused are members of an inter-state drugs racket led by one Mohammad Sarver.
