Old Delhi blaze: Injured fireman dies

The fireman,who suffered 75 per cent burns while fighting the blaze in Chandni Chowk,succumbed to injuries at L N Hospital on Wednesday. Charanjit Singh (52) was a native of Sonepat and was posted at Rani Jhansi Road fire station. He joined the fire department in 1981.

DU student stabbed

A 24-year-old DU student was stabbed in the eye by unknown persons on Monday night while on his way to his hostel in Mukherji Nagar. Mayank Mani Tripathi was also reportedly denied treatment at the Bara Hindu Rao Hospital as a case had not been registered. Tripathi was later treated at the Guru Nanak Eye Hospital.
