Six more trains shifted to station at Anand Vihar
Anand Vihar Railway Station will now get six more trains out of which five will be Bihar-bound. Three of the new trains will chug out of the station from July 25,while the final dates for the others are yet to be decided,Northern Railways authorities said on Wednesday. The six trains shifted are Bhagalpur-bound Vikramshila Express,Muzaffarpur-bound Saptkranti Express,Rajendra Nagar Nizamuddin Garib Rath Express,Jainagar Nizamuddin Express and Islampur-New Delhi Magadh Express,besides Guwahati- bound North East Express. The Lichchvi Express and Hatia-Delhi Jharkhand Express were already scheduled to start from the new terminal on July 15 while Nizamuddin- Kalka Himalayan Queen was to shift from July 25.
Rains in city,but its not the monsoon yet
Certain parts of the city experienced pre-monsoon showers on Wednesday,however,the monsoon seems to be at least a week away according to the Meteorological department. According to a report prepared by the India Meteorological Department,Delhi and the rest of Northwest India will receive its first monsoon rains between July 7 and 15. Normally,Delhi receives the monsoon by June 28,this has been delayed this year.
Celebratory fire kills boy in Outer Delhi
A 13-year-old boy died after a bullet fired during a wedding procession accidentally hit him in Prahaladpur village near Shahbad Dairy in Outer Delhi on Tuesday night. According to the police,the accused,the grooms uncle,was reportedly under the influence of alcohol. He fled after he was told that the bullet fired by him had hit the boy,Amit Singh.
