A 31-year-old man,who was declared a proclaimed offender by a Delhi court,has been arrested for his alleged involvement in over 35 cases of chain snatching.

New Delhi: A 31-year-old man,who was declared a proclaimed offender by a Delhi court,has been arrested for his alleged involvement in over 35 cases of chain snatching. Manoj,a resident of Aman Vihar,was arrested from near Tis Hazari court complex,following a tip-off.

Clean chit to UP minister in shooting case

Ghaziabad: Police have given a clean chit to an Uttar Pradesh minister,who along with two others was named in the attempt to murder case of BSP leader Braham Pal. Pal was shot at his house in Morta village on May 31. SSP Raghubir Lal said Tyagi,Minister for Rural and Technical Education,was not connected to the attack and the sharp shooters employed to kill Pal were allegedly engaged by another former councillor Vinod Tyagi on payment of Rs 2 lakh.
