Part-time driver held with CPI leader’s car
The Honda City car of CPI national secretary D Raja was stolen from his official residence at Vithal Bhai Patel House on Rafi Marg on Wednesday. It was later recovered from Raja’s temporary driver Yogesh Kumar in South Delhi’s Bijwasan. Senior police officers said Kumar,who has been arrested,disclosed that he stole the car with a duplicate key. The car,which is reportedly registered in his party’s name,had been gifted to Raja by members of party’s trade union. Police said the Rajya Sabha member’s Parliament entry label and radio frequency card were intact.

Piped natural gas to cost Re 1 more
Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has hiked the price of the Piped Natural Gas (PNG) by about Re 1 per cubic metre,in view of rise in input costs. IGL raised the price of PNG from Rs 15.92 per cubic metre to Rs 16.85 per cubic metre in Delhi for the customers consuming up to 90 cubic metres of PNG in four months,the company said. For customers consuming more than 90 cubic metres in four months,the price would be Rs 21.12 per cubic metre,IGL said on Thursday.
