A 40-year-old Nepalese national was arrested by police in Sarai Rohilla,North Delhi,after his 13-year-old daughter alleged that he had been sexually assaulting her for the last two years.

13-year-old raped by father for over two years

NEW DELHI: A 40-year-old Nepalese national was arrested by police in Sarai Rohilla,North Delhi,after his 13-year-old daughter alleged that he had been sexually assaulting her for the last two years. After a medical examination confirmed the accusation,police arrested the father,Teg Bahadur,who works as a domestic help . A police official said,She narrated the ordeal to a relative,who filed a complaint on Tuesday. According to police,one of the daughters had reportedly left him after he attempted to rape her too.

Fire breaks out at Defence Ministry office

NEW DELHI: A fire broke out at the Defence Ministry office,located at the high-security South Block on Thursday night. The blaze was reported from a room on the second floor of the Defence Ministry,which is located behind the Prime Minister’s Office,the Delhi Disaster

Management Authority said. Six fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the blaze,which broke out around 11.20 pm. The cause of fire was yet to be ascertained,the official said.
