Cheat held for duping over 100 MBA students

The Southwest district police have arrested a cheat who allegedly duped over 100 MBA students of different business schools in Delhi and NCR on the pretext of providing them internships and jobs.

The Southwest district police have arrested a cheat who allegedly duped over 100 MBA students of different business schools in Delhi and NCR on the pretext of providing them internships and jobs. Officials said Gaurav Juneja has duped the students of approximately Rs 25 lakh. Juneja’s aides,including a woman,are absconding.

Juneja (32),a resident of Adarsh Nagar,had opened an office in Naraina in November 2009 in the name of Home Dmort Company and started posting messages on the websites of B-schools.

Brijesh Kumar Singh,a student of Rai Business School,had complained to the police that Juneja’s firm had posted a message on the website of his college placement cell and asked him to attend an interview in Naraina.

“At the interview,he was promised a stipend during training,and a job afterwards. He paid Rs 25,000 as a refundable security money,” said a senior police officer. Many students were duped in a similar way.

A case of cheating with criminal conspiracy has been registered at Naraina police station.
