Incomplete celebrations
We’ve waited 35 years to see it,but all we got was a truncated version of our dream. A Sholay reunion happened recently on the sets of Star Pluss Chhote Ustaad, when Dharmendra,Viju Khote,Asrani and director Ramesh Sippy visited the sets of the show. Everyone, from host Omi Vaidya to the contestants were decked out in costumes from the movie and sang its iconic songs. But the thing that weighed the celebrations down was the absence of Amitabh Bachchan, who played Jai to Dharamjis Veeru. Wonder what itll take to get the two back together again and make it a true Sholay reunion?
Second innings
Iqbal Khan is taking his comeback very seriously indeed and is looking at it as a chance to get back the fan following he lost when he went on a hiatus from the small screen. The actor is now looking lean, mean and fit, thanks to his work-out plan and diet regime during the Ramzan month. He says,With practically no carbs during the day and a good helping of the scrumptious protein-rich Chicken Biryani after sunset,Im pretty confident Ill get leaner and fitter along with my strenuous workouts. Apparently, given the work hours on his new show Sanjog Se Bani Sangini,Iqbal has invested in a membership at a 24-hour gym,so that he can work out when the whole city sleeps at 2 am. Thats some dedication.
Third wheel
Yet another actor who went missing from our television screens is getting set to make a comeback. Gaurav Chopra, who we last saw on Pati,Patni Aur Woh,trying to change diapers and keep the peace with Mouni Roy,will now be entering Colors hit show,Uttaran,as Raghuvendra Pratap Rathore, aka,Rocky. He will also be the protagonist Tapasyas main source of strength and, were guessing,a potential love interest. All the better to complicate an already complicated show with a new love triangle.
