From the land of Beethoven and Mozart comes a modern day Jazz orchestra,BuJazzO,who are collaborating with Carnatic music exponents,RA Ramamani,TAS Mani,Karthik Subramaniam and Ramesh Shotham. They will perform today at IHC. Ramamani, one of the first classical vocalists to experiment with international jazz, has composed for the performance. “I met them two years back, and we had a workshop where they were introduced to Indian music,” she says. The performance will also have compositions from Louis Banks and Charlie Mariano.

Mike Herting, who will conduct the 30-odd member band, says,“It’s my first concert in India with such a big band. It is equally exciting that we have some nice compositions from Ramamani.”
