Bridget Jones Again

Bridget Jones 3 has been given the go-ahead after its main star Renee Zellweger,who plays Bridget — a wine-loving 30-something singleton who eventually finds love — has told that she wouldn’t have to gain weight like she had to with the previous movies.

Even as Zellweger reprises her role as Bridget,Colin Firth and Hugh Grant,who play her love interests Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver respectively,are also set to sign up,and scriptwriters are planning a big twist between the three main characters.

Ideas are floating around that the follow-up to Bridget Jones’s Diary and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason will show that Bridget gets pregnant,but is not sure whether the father is her long-term boyfriend Mark or her ex-flame Daniel.

A source said to The Sun newspaper: “Colin thinks it will be a great flick to get his teeth into after all the success with The King’s Speech. He’s very excited about the idea of marriage and kids in the script — now that all the characters are older.”
