Over the years,the Absolut Vodka bottle has been a muse for many an artist. Andy Warhol was one of the first to lend his own funky signature to the bottle,followed by Keith Haring and Namjun Paik,Chris Ofili,Spike Lee and Zachary Cameron.

Over the years,the Absolut Vodka bottle has been a muse for many an artist. Andy Warhol was one of the first to lend his own funky signature to the bottle,followed by Keith Haring and Namjun Paik,Chris Ofili,Spike Lee and Zachary Cameron. Now Subodh Gupta will be the first Indian artist to join the international names and put his design on the bottle. “I’ve tried to give it my own signature style,which is why I’ve done my own sculpture and not just a label for the bottle,” says the artist,known for his Very Hungry God art work that is part of François Pinault collection. “Many important artists have lent their name to the bottle which is why it felt good to make this design,” he adds.
