NEW DELHI: Two unidentified men allegedly robbed a businessman and his son of Rs 2 lakh in Jhandewalan on Friday night. The trader and his son run a jeans business in Tank Road,Karol Bagh. They were robbed while returning home with the weeks earnings. A senior police officer said,The robbers were in a car,following the traders bike. They crashed into the bike and stole the cash after the traders fell to the ground. The traders suffered serious injuries and are recuperating in a nearby hospital. It seems that the robbers knew that they were carrying money.
Govt to buy 600 low-floor buses
NEW DELHI: The Delhi government is planning to buy 600 low-floor buses to replace old DTC buses,CM Sheila Dikshit said on Saturday. She spoke after launching a new bus route connecting Gole Market and R K Puram Sector-1. We are improving public transport to discourage use of private vehicles, she said.
