4 held for murder,2 absconding

NEW DELHI: Four persons,including a juvenile,were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly kidnapping and murdering a travel agency operator. The victim’s car and mobile phone were also recovered from the accused. Police said Jitender alias Jitu (19),Kaushal (24),Seema (44) and the juvenile allegedly kidnapped the victim,Keshav Gautam (29),in June this year and strangled him. They then robbed him of his car and belongings.

Man held for medical admission racket

NEW DELHI: A man,identified as S B Yadav from Bangalore,was arrested on Wednesday for duping students by promising to provide them admission in various medical colleges across the country. Police also recovered several incriminatory documents from his possession. The matter came to light after a man,identified as Dr Bimal Ahluwalia,told police that Yadav had duped him of Rs 24.5 lakh after promising to secure his daughter’s admission in a medical college.
