DPS Society to withdraw expulsion letter against Khurshid
The Delhi Public School (DPS) Society on Tuesday submitted before a Delhi High Court Bench that it has decided to withdraw the expulsion letter of September 2008 against Corporate Affairs minister Salman Khurshid,who was president of the Society. The Society’s counsel informed a Division Bench led by Chief Justice A P Shah that a decision to withdraw the expulsion letter was taken in a recent general body meeting of the Society.

“The Society will serve a fresh showcause notice on him,as to why he should not be expelled from the Society’s membership,” the counsel submitted. Khurshid,who challenged the single Bench’s order refusing to grant relief regarding his expulsion from the DPS Society,withdrew his petition.

Police drivers held
Two private drivers employed by Delhi Police were arrested for molesting a woman and threatening her friend at Buddha Jayanti Park in Chanakyapuri on Saturday evening,an officer said on Tuesday. The accused — identified as Omprakash and Mandeep — went to the park in a police vehicle around 6.30 pm. When the woman shouted for help after the duo misbehaved with them,Mandeep fled but Omprakash was caught by others. He was later arrested,as was Mandeep.
