Poor visibility due to fog claimed three lives in the Capital,the police said. Seven vehicles collided on the Noida Expressway,killing one Jagpal,the police said. In another accident in Kasna,two people — Sonu and Omprakash — died after their vehicle collided with a truck due to poor visibility.

Woman stabbed to death by husband
A 25-year-woman was murdered on Tuesday allegedly by her husband after she refused to return to the couple’s house in Narela,Outer Delhi. According to the police,the incident took place around 10 pm. The victim has been identified as Rekha. The police said Rekha suffered multiple stab injuries after her husband Sunil (30) attacked her with a knife. Rekha’s family alleged that her husband used to beat her up. A case of murder has been registered at the local police station.

Temple robbed
Cash and ornaments were allegedly stolen from a temple in Paschim Vihar,West Delhi,late on Tuesday night. According to the police,the incident occurred around 3 am on Wednesday and the Sanatan Dharm temple priest,Ram Dev,came to know about it when he came to the temple around 6 am. The temple’s CCTV cameras have captured the image of the robbers and the police are analysing the footage. The police said fingerprints and other samples have also been collected. A case of burglary has been registered at the Paschim Vihar police station.

Three held for fraud
Three members of a family were arrested by the Outer Delhi police on Tuesday for allegedly duping hundreds of persons on the pretext of offering lucrative schemes in Mongolpuri area. According to the police,a woman,Simi Khantwal,approached them with the complaint that she had been duped of Rs 5.75 lakh by a company named Bumper Draw on the pretext of providing a flat on cheaper rates. The police then arrested three members of a family —- Jayant Mishra,his son who is a minor and Rakesh Mishra. The police said the company duped its investors of an estimated amount of Rs 21 crore. Further probe is on.

4 die at Rohini shelter
Four people,including one child,died in a shelter for the mentally challenged in Rohini area in the past 24 hours. All deaths were reported from NGO Asha Kiran-run shelter in Rohini Sector-1. At least two of them died after suffering fits,the police said. “The first death was reported from the shelter at 7.30 pm Tuesday night in which a 19-year-old girl Angoori,who was suffering asthma,died on her way to the hospital,” the police said. In the second case,a 38-year-old woman,Meena Payal,was found dead in her bed. In the third case,a 21-year-old girl died in her bed on Tuesday night. “Sangeeta,who was crippled,was suffering from TB and was bedridden since 2004,” the police said. Twelve-year-old Deepti died after suffering fits on Wednesday morning. We have sent their bodies and are awaiting medical reports before taking any further action,” a senior police officer said.
