4 die in accidents
NEW DELHI:Four persons died in separate accidents in last 24 hours. First incident was reported on Nangloi flyover at 10 pm on Saturday. Aneesh (22),whose father is a head constable in Rajouri Garden police station,was hit by a tractor-trolley on the flyover while returning to his Arvind Enclave residence on his bike. In second accident,a tempo driver died after his tempo hit a truck at 3 am on Sunday on GT Karnal Road in Alipur. The tempo driver Ramesh Kumar (45) and his son Gurdeep (18) were admitted to Raja Harish Chandra Hospital where Ramesh died. Third accident happened at Pocket-IV Mayur Vihar traffic light when a biker,Jitender (32),was hit by and unknown vehicle on Sunday. Also,one Raj Kishore (36),a pedestrian was hit by a biker at 10.30 am on Sunday in Dabri. He died later in a hospital.
Security at malls
Gurgaon:After a mock drill in 12 Gurgaon malls,in September,revealed chinks in security,the Gurgaon police have decided to come down heavily on mall owners,hoteliers and security agencies. Police Commissioner,S S Deswal (Gurgaon) said,We have held two meetings since the mock drills were conducted. Owners have been asked to improve their faulty security arrangements.
Plea for case transfer?
New Delhi:A suspected Pakistani militant,Mohd Hassan,and his two Kashmiri accomplices Shafaquat Iqbal and Shabbir Ahmed have moved a plea before the Tis Hazari courts judge-in-charge for transferring their case from a special POTA court,claiming the woman judge was being prejudiced and biased.
