Cop injured after his gun goes off
New Delhi:A 24-year-old Delhi Police personnel,Inder Singh,was injured on Friday after his service rifle accidentally went off. Singh sustained at least seven bullet injuries and was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre in a critical condition. Police said Singh was in the patrol car when his rifle went off.
Katara case witness alleges bid on life
Ghaziabad:Ajay Katara,a key witness in the Nitish Katara murder case,registered a complaint on Thursday alleging that some persons attempted to kill him by ramming his vehicle with a truck on Thursday. In his complaint,Katara alleged that he had received threats from D P Yadav and his associates and suspected they were behind this attempt on his life. D P Yadavs son Vikas Yadav is currently in prison charged with the murder of Nitish Katara.
Body found with throat slit in park
New Delhi:A 49-year-old man was found with his throat slit in a park in Rohini,Outer Delhi on Friday. Police said Subhash Chand Mishra used to work as an accountant with a mall in Ashok Vihar. Police said he was missing since Thursday afternoon. We suspect that a personal enmity might have led to the murder, a police officer said.
More charges likely in Jaitley CDR case
New Delhi:The Delhi Police Special Cell on Friday told a city court that it should consider adding charges of forgery against the four men for using the passwords of senior Delhi Police officers to obtain the call detail records of BJP leader Arun Jaitley. The submission was made during the prosecution arguments against the bail plea filed by accused Delhi Police constable Arvind Dabas. The prosecution also told the court that he should not be given bail. The order on the bail plea has been reserved for Monday.
