NEW DELHI: The Delhi government assured the High Court that the Capital’s first permanent drug de-addiction centre for juveniles will become fully functional on April 15. The authorities submitted before Chief Justice Dipak Misra that all the required infrastructure have been put in place,and a sufficient number of trees planted in the area.

Nimath power sub-station opens today

Gurgaon: Haryana Minister for Power Mahender Pratap Singh will inaugurate a newly commissioned 66-KV substation at Nimath village in Gurgaon district on Thursday. A Haryana Power Utilities spokesman said the substation has been constructed by the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam for Rs 7.77 crore.

8 fined for travelling in Metro coach for women

Gurgaon: The police conducted Operation Majnu at the MG Road Metro station on Wednesday,issuing challans to eight offenders for travelling in the women’s coach. The operation was conducted between 9 and 11 am.

First Aadhaar enrolment centre opened

NEW DELHI: The government on Wednesday opened its first enrolment center for registration of Unique Identification Number at Kanjhawla in Northwest Delhi.

The government had recently started the process of Aadhaar enrolment in the Northwest and Southwest districts.
