AAP doublespeak clear: Cong, BJP

Delhi BJP chief Harsh Vardhan said Ilmi’s resignation was an internal matter of the AAP.

After AAP leader Shazia Ilmi quit the party citing lack of inner party democracy, the Congress and the BJP on Saturday attacked the AAP for preaching what it doesn’t practice.

“It is strange that a party which claimed to have been formed to revive democratic values, its members are openly talking about lack of democracy within the party. When such a thing happens, the existence of such a party comes into question,” Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Singh Lovely said.

Delhi BJP chief Harsh Vardhan said Ilmi’s resignation was an internal matter of the AAP. “However, it is apparent that there is no internal democracy in their party and it is a party that is governed on the principles of anarchy,” he said.
