Hours after the Congress said that they will be opposing the Centre’s ordinance related to the control of services in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced that it will be taking part in the Opposition meet in Bengaluru tomorrow.

Support towards opposing the Centre’s ordinance had become a bone of contention between the Congress and Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP with the latter stating after the first Opposition meeting that it would be very difficult for it to be part of a coalition until the grand old party publicly denounced the central government’s move.

“Any party that values the Constitution and democracy will be opposed to the Centre’s ordinance. After several opposition parties, the Congress has also said it doesn‘t support it. AAP will join the opposition meeting in Bangalore,” Raghav Chadha said following AAP’s political affairs committee meeting at the Delhi CM’s residence.
