6,600 to join Delhi Police today

As many as 6,608 constables,including 460 women,will be inducted into Delhi Police on Wednesday. Officials said this is the largest number of policemen to be taken into the force in one go. Of the new entrants,685 will undergo advanced commando training with the CRPF in Neemuch and BSF in Tekanpur, Madhya Pradesh. All the constables being inducted have had to undergone preliminary commando training. With this,the total number of policemen will rise to 83,762.
