Reacting to Vice Chancellor Dinesh Singhs statements regarding appointment of teachers,Delhi University Teachers Association on Monday urged ad-hoc teachers to refrain from believing anything that the V-C may be telling the media about the issue of appointments. A DUTA member said,The V-C is playing with the hopes of thousands of young teachers by talking about fresh appointments. Since students will choose papers under the four-year undergraduate programme ,DUTA said it will become difficult for the departments to measure work-load accurately. As appointments depend on post-creation on the basis of workload, permanent posts are likely to fall if the four-year undergraduate model is passed, a DUTA hand-out said.
