2 former employees arrested for 4-yr-old theft from Dwarka jewellery
According to police, the accused — Yogesh Singh and Deepak — were employed as assistant store manager and cashier at Senco Gold Limited when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in 2020.

The duo were arrested last week near their places of residence in Uttam Nagar and West Delhi.Two former jewellery employees in the Dwarka area have been arrested for allegedly stealing ornaments worth Rs 40 lakh by generating fake invoices in the name of registered customers four years ago.
According to police, the accused — Yogesh Singh and Deepak — were employed as assistant store manager and cashier at Senco Gold Limited when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in 2020. Faced with debt and financial constraints, they allegedly planned to steal from the firm. In June 2020, the duo allegedly generated forged invoices worth Rs 40 lakh and stole jewellery from the shop, said DCP (Dwarka) Ankit Singh.
Later, the company detected the fraud and zeroed down on the duo who had gone missing by then.
While Yogesh is a resident of Om Vihar in Uttam Nagar, Deepak resides at Khalsa in West Delhi.
An FIR was filed on July 30, 2020 based on a complaint by Senco Gold’s Zonal Manager Sumit Soni at Dwarka South police station.
But the accused continued to evade police by changing their addresses and mobile numbers. During investigation, the police team analysed call detail records of more than 50 numbers of the relatives of the accused and roped in secret informers to get any information on the duo.
Subsequently, the duo returned to their places of residence. Yogesh was nabbed first and eventually, Deepak also landed in the police net.

During interrogation, Yogesh stated that Deepak was the mastermind of the crime.
