13-year-old girl found hanging

A 13-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her brother’s house in Mahipalpur,South Delhi,on Wednesday afternoon. According to police,the girl had come to Delhi from Buxar in Bihar. Her brother,who works as a software engineer,and his wife were not at home at the time of the incident. When the girl’s sister-in-law returned home,she found the main door bolted from inside. “When no one answered her knocks,she called her husband,who in turn called the police,” said a senior police officer.

A police team reached the spot and broke open the door to find the girl’s body. Police are yet to ascertain the reason behind the alleged suicide.
