Palwal murder: Autopsy rules out rape,cops probe husband

A police officer said,“We are trying to trace Lakhanpal’s call details to check who he spoke to on the day of the incident and his location throughout the day. This will also reveal the location of the people he had spoken to on that day. These details will be crucial to the case.”

A police officer said,“Lakhanpal may have changed his statement because he may have been shocked by the incident. We are investigating the case from all angles. We have questioned the husband at length and are trying to link the dots to reach a logical conclusion.”

Police said they may make Lakhanpal take a lie-detector test if necessary.

The post-mortem report of Satvinder Kaur suggests that the cause of her death was strangulation. “It rules out the suspicion that she was raped by the assailants. We hope to solve the case soon,” police said.
