Independent MLA from Hospet in Bellary and businessman Anand Singh,who failed to appear before the CBI Saturday,may be declared an absconder.

The MLA had filed an anticipatory bail plea in the special CBI court Monday claiming he was undergoing medical treatment in Singapore. The plea is expected to be heard Wednesday.

Notifying the failure of the MLA to appear before the CBI will be part of the processes initiated following the anticipatory bail plea. The priority is countering the anticipatory bail plea, sources said.
