After his debut in 2009 with the book Zero Percentile — Missed IIT Kissed Russia (ZP1),Delhi-based Neeraj Chhibba is back with its sequel Zero Percentile 2.0 — Missed IIT Kissed Gurgaon. This time,Chhibba presents life inside the software industry. “It touches upon the highs and lows of the industry, starting with the stock market crash and moving on to better times,” says the author who was in Chandigarh for a personal visit. The 257-page paperback also packs in a story of love, friendship and conspiracy. “Though the book has references of real-life instances from the IT world, the characters are fictitious,” says Chhibba, who works as vice president (Finance) with a software service company in Gurgaon. “Prior to writing Zero Percentile 1.0,my only claim to literary honours was a ‘Highly Commendable’ certificate in Class X in an English essay competition organised by the Royal Commonwealth Society,” says Chhibba, for whom the “pressure of succeeding professionally” made him give up the dream of a career in writing. “But you can never forget your first love and I returned to it about five years back,” says Chhibba, who is already set for the third book in the series.
