Workshop on good parenting held

Parents are always the best role model and the best teacher for a child as they are available most of the time and influence the atmosphere at home. This was concluded at a workshop on positive parenting held at DC Montessori School in Manimajra on Sunday. More than 300 parents attended the programme conducted by educationist and principal of the school Bharat Bhushan Gupta.

Holding parents equally responsible for the growing complaints of children being self-centered,irritating and fussy,Gupta said “Children need to be tackled with empathy,care,patience and understanding.”

He further said,“Several studies have suggested that IQ of those children is generally more whose mothers had spent more time with them. A parent should always try to encourage the child with positive words like well done,you can do it,I am proud of you,and looking good,etc.”
