Even in college here in Chandigarh,I would invest my pocket money on branded jeans and tees for they can make a smashing statement,” says actor,showing off her brand new botoxed pout. In town to unveil Esprit’s new fall holiday 2010 range,Ranaut hands out tips on the three essentials — A-line dress,a dark navy blue quilted jacket and the quintessential little black dress. “These three can be teamed up with so many things to create a different look.” According to Ranaut,navy blue is the new black this winter.

The actor talks about her look which she and her team have put together for her upcoming film Knock Out. “I play a journalist and,because the film is one day’s story,I had to look glamourous yet professional.” She’s gone a step ahead and given a chic makeover to a regular scribe. “There is no costume change in the film,” she adds. Coming up are other films — No Problem and Game. Quiz her about her recent declarations on wanting to direct a film and start her own fashion label,and the actor retorts,“The day my films start to flop and I am out of work,I’ll consider these options.”
