Love, life, truth & humour,Saakshi Tanwar joins the big screen with Coffee House
Parvati Bhabhi is frankly tired of being, well,Parvati Bhabhi. Not that shes against it or anything, but Saakshi Tanwar thought it was time to move on and do something big. And so came along Coffee House. Written and directed by Gurbir Singh Grewal, the man who gave Saakshi Neem ka Ped,the film also stars Ashutosh Rana,Paintal,Brijesh Heerji,Hemant Pandey,Harsh Chhaya,Vinod Nagpal,Javed Khan,S.M.Zaheer,Neha Mishra and Aman Dhaliwal. The films about a coffee house and groups of different people who frequent it and become friends over a period of time….and through these relationships, the film talks about youth, unemployment, retirement and the elderly, Saakshi says the film has a lot of feelings, humor, pain and joy, those will make the audience search for few answers in their own lives. While Ashutosh plays the role of her my husband, its the director,Gurbir, with whom Saakshi shares a special bond. Ive known Gurbir ji since the time I started my career. I had also worked in his popular serial Neem Ka Ped on Doordarshan for which he was nominated as best director. He is my mentor and we share a guru-shishya relation and by working in his film Im in a way repaying my debt of gratitude to him, she says. Its been eight years playing Parvati…does she miss the small screen? It was great! When I started I never thought that people will like the character of Parvati so much. But right now,I am not working in any soap because I have no interest doing the same kind of roles, which brings us to something few know about this girl from Rajasthan. Enough with rona-dhona,I want to do some comedy now, she announces. No reality,no soap,no daily dose – pure, simple romantic comedy. Anyone listening?
