With the current fad steering everyone to slip into Western formals like evening gowns,strappy dresses and chic tunics,it’s only natural for designers to stock up for choice. “Also with power yoga and diet regimes,the fashionistas are more lean and fit. So there is a new confidence to experiment with their looks that has brought changes in their wardrobe as well,” spell out designers Mini Sondhi and Jessie Sabir Singh. So far western wear was restricted to tees and tight kurtis and laying hands on dresses was a tad tough. “Not any more,” chirp the ladies who have rolled out an exclusive collection titled ‘Illuminati ‘09’ that brings with it a range of evening gowns,dresses,tunics and more. The silhouettes are contemporary and so is the styling and you can expect to lay your hands on well-fitted dresses,satin tunics,long gowns that keep away from unnecessary embellishments. “Also for the first time designers Gunjan and Rahul,Atsu,Reena and Deepanshi and Shaheen have joined hands with our label Bling Bling to bring to Chandigarh a wide range of designer gowns,cocktail dresses,tunics,tube tops,” Ashita lets us know.
