Vineet registers narrow win

Playing a fine game,Vineet Chauhan scored an upset 3-2 win over Rohit Bansal in the snooker category on the third day of the 24th Haryana State Billiards and Snooker Championship held on Wednesday.

It was a narrow win for Chauhan as he eked out a 3-2 win over Bansal. In another match in the same category,Gagan Manchanda scored an emphatic 3-1 win over Gaurav Bharti,while in another match of the day,Harpreet Singh ended the challenge of Amritpal Singh with an easy 3-0 win.

In the junior snooker category,Sumesh ended the challenge of Sahil with an easy 2-0 win,while in another match of the day,Shubham scored an easy 2-0 win over Prince. It was an easy going for Nitin Sharma as defeated Arjun 2-1 in the same category.

In the sub-junior snooker category,Gaurav Dhingra scored a 2-1 win over Ravinder Singh to march into the next round. In another match of the same category,Shubham scored a 2-1 win over Sarvesh.
