Very Filmy

On cloud nine
By now its official that Sonam Kapoor is the reigning style diva. Her slick and trendy looks in Aisha and I Hate Luv Storys have the fashion circles buzzing. But it seems the actress has decided to keep on surprising her fans,as she is now trying her hand at some action. Soon after the release of Aisha,Sonam left for Toronto,Canada to join the unit of Anees Bazmee’s multi-starrer comedy Thank You. In the movie the pretty actress is paired opposite Akshay Kumar for the first time. And,she is so excited about it that she immediately tweeted,“My first song with @akshaykumar. Doing a full blown Bollywood number on top of an open roof bus!! Hee hee… Its surreal.” Wonder whether Akki will successfully manage to impart his stunt-power to the actress.

Ad up to fame
Kareena Kapoor has plenty of reason to celebrate as she is the country’s leading female endorser. As per the AdEx India Analysis 2010,the actress had the maximum advertising share of 45 per cent,in ‘celebrity’ endorsements on television during the first half of 2010. The actress is the only female to feature alongside the top three male endorsers — Shah Rukh Khan,Sachin

Tendulkar and MS Dhoni — in FMCG brands category. Going by the statistics,it seems that the actress has already caught a lot of public eye, which might benefit her before the release of Karan Johar’s We Are Family. She will also be seen in beau Saif Ali Khan’s Agent Vinod and

Golmaal 3. On the other hand, maybe it’s time for Bebo to consider a little restrain and avoid ‘over’ exposure.

Soaring high
Duaan is flying high and reaching new heights,as it continues to excel in the overseas market. After being selected in the ‘Un Certain Regard’ category in the Cannes Film Festival, the film has been awarded with the ‘Best Audience’ and the ‘Best

Music Score Award’ by the Music Conservatory of Salerno at the prestigious Giffoni Film Festival. The Giffoni International Film Festival is world’s largest children’s film festival in Europe and over 2,000 children attend the festival from 39 countries around the world. Vikramaditya Motwane, the movie’s director, was overwhelmed by the recent accolades and said,“These are Udaan’s first awards, hopefully the first of many to come, and I’m especially happy for Amit Trivedi and Amitabh Bhattacharya, who are the unsung heroes of the film.”
