Two cases of violence were reported from outside different colleges in the city on Wednesday.
In the first incident,two persons were injured in a clash between two groups. The clash took place outside Khalsa College,Sector 26,on Wednesday evening. The victims have been identified as Sudhir Malik,a BCom third year student and his bother Ashish Malik.
According to police,Sudhir and Ashish,along with two other friends were going towards DT Mall in their car to watch a movie. When they reached Khalsa College,two cars blocked their way,one ahead and the other behind.
The victims told the police that around 10 armed people stepped out of the two cars and attacked them with sharp-edged weapons. By the time police reached the spot,the accused had fled. Ashish and Sudhir were admitted to GMSH-16 with cut injuries on stomach and arm respectively.
The police have recorded statements of the victims and begun investigation into the case.
