Two booked for cheating

The Chandigarh police have arrested two employees of an immigration company for allegedly cheating 21 people.

The Chandigarh police have arrested two employees of an immigration company for allegedly cheating 21 people. The two have been identified as 24 year old Vikram Jaiswal son of Anil Kumar and Tammana,22,alias Nidhi daughter of Darshan Lal,both residents of Yamunanagar.

Police said a complaint was lodged by Daljit Singh of Sector 23 in Chandigarh and 20 others alleging that they had been cheated by a Sector 8-based immigration company” “ We had applied for work permit visas for Canada through the company.We all paid Rs. 22,30,000 to them,but they neither provided any visa nor refunded our amount. The Company also handed us forged offer letters of Canadian companies intentionally and fraudulently. They had also taken the original passports of some candidate”,” the complainants told police.

Based on the complaint,a case was registered at the Sector 3 police station and investigations were taken up by the Economic Offences Wing of the Chandigarh Police.” “ During the investigation,the two accused Jaiswal and Tammana were arrested by Economic Offences Win”,” police said.
