Two arrested for murder

Two persons were arrested today for murdering Ishfaq Yousuf,a resident of Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir.

He was killed at Fatehgarh Churian on December 21. He had married Rupinder Kaur in 1999,however,in 2007,they got a divorce. They had been fighting a legal battle for the custody of their son.

Ishfaq was in town in relation with the case. He even visited the police station. But Rupinders family later attacked him with swords and knives, said officers investigating the case.

We have arrested two persons,including Rupinders brother Manjinder Singh,said Batala SSP D P Singh.

Rupinder and Ishfaq had started living in Srinagar after their marriage.

After a case of his murder was registered at Fatehgarh Churian,his body was taken to J&K and buried there.
