Reminds us of Mungeri Lal Ke Haseen Sapne. Anyway,for the uninitiated,Sharad Joshi is a renowned name in the world of satire in Hindi literature. While his stories make us laugh,they also have the ability to empathize with the problems of the common man. As for the show,its based in an imaginary small town called Lapataganj,a small town in some state of the country which has been long forgotten by the system. The town struggles daily for basic facilities,yet people residing here are the happiest of the lot. The show captures the spirit of a common man to lead a happy life against all odds.

Natasha Malhotra has been named Vice-President and General Manager,Walt Disney Television International India. In this role,she will oversee Disneys multiplex of channels in India,each geared towards kids and families: Disney Channel,Jetix and Hungama TV. Its a privilege to take on this role and I am thrilled to be working with Disney,an iconic brand that generations all over the world have grown up with and its great to be back in India, smiled Natasha.
