Transfer of depts to MC soon : UT

The UT Administration has assured the Municipal Corporation that the transfer of departments to the civic body would be done at the earliest. This was stated at the co-ordination committee meeting of the Municipal Corporation and UT Administration,which was attended by UT Adviser Pradip Mehra,Mayor Anu Chatrath and other officials.

Recently a meeting of officials was held to discuss the modalities of the transfer and details of the budget and staff. The feasibility of setting up a mini bus stand in Maloya would be studied. The Director of Transport has been asked to study the feasibility of setting up the mini bus stand depending on the frequency of buses on the route. It was also discussed that the plot of land near the community centre in Sector 47 should be merged with the centre in order to give more space for the centre. A library for senior citizens would also be set up.
