Theft case solved within 24 hours

The police claimed to have solved a case of theft that took place in a shop located in Grain Market,Sector 26 on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.

The police arrested Vijay Kumar (19),a native of Murradabad from Bapu Dham Colony on Tuesday evening while he was trying to sell cigarettes which he had stolen from a shop According to the police,the accused who roams around the grain market had was seen by police personnel while he was trying to sell the stolen goods at a reduced price as he was not aware of the actual price.

Earlier,the police had registered a case of theft on the complaint of Sumit Bhatia,the shop owner. He had complained to the police that some one had stolen 50 bundles of cigarettes,25 shampoo packets,5 computer speakers along with Rs 3000 cash from his shop.

A case in this regard has been registered at the Sector 26 police station.
