AMBALA: A 25-year-old youth,identified as Mangat Ram,a resident of Dera Naraingarh village,died after he consumed some poisonous substance at his house. He was rushed to the civil hospital,Naraingarh,from where he was referred to PGIMER,Chandigarh. He died on way to the hospital. The father of the deceased said his son had inhaled the poisonous substance mistaking it for a medicine.

100 pc results for Patiala school

CHANDIGARH: Bhupindra International Public School,Patiala,maintained its tradition of 100 per cent results in CBSE Class X exam. Out of a total of 82 students,nine were awarded A1 grade,14 got A2. Principal Indu Sharma said multi-faceted development of students was the priority at BIPS. BIPS president Gurmeet Singh Arora congratulated the meritorious students on their brilliant performance.

Gallery to display Corbusier furniture

CHANDIGARH: A gallery displaying the furniture designed by Le Corbusier has been established in the library of the Postgraduate Government College (PGC),Sector 11. The gallery has been established with the aim of conserving Corbusier’s heritage furniture,which has been smuggled outside India to be auctioned off at high prices in Europe,over the past few years. The gallery was inaugurated by Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal.
