Convicted for life for assassinating Beant Singh, former chief minister of Punjab, terrorist Paramjit Singh Bheora was produced in a local court today in connection with the infamous Burail jail-break case.

Bheora, who along with Jagtar Singh Hawara, another terrorist convicted for life imprisonment, had escape from the Burail jail,is presently lodged at Tihar Jail in connection with twin blasts in two theaters of Delhi which took place five years ago. Advocate Arvind Thakur,on behalf of Bheora, requested the court to allow Bheora to be brought to Burail jail a day in advance when he is to be produced here in connection with the case. Bheora, who was brought amidst tight security, apprised the court that he was taken to the Vikaspuri Police Station a night before he was to be produced in Chandigarh. He said that people smoke in the barrack where he is kept and there is no proper sitting arrangement. Thakur on behalf of Bheora contended that there is no medical treatment given to Bheora who already has undergone two surgeries. Also,Thakur alleged that the Delhi Police does not halt at even a single station while he is brought to Chandigarh.
