After checking out his Facebook profile,Ekta Kapoor took Karan Kundra under her wing

This goes out to all the hopefuls – Ekta Kapoor is pretty active on the Facebook. So if you are still dreaming about that lead role,then update your profiles asap ’cause the lady’s on a constant prowl. In fact,NDTV Imagine’s Kitani Mohabbat Hai’s lead male character,Karan Kundra who plays the uptight businessman Arjun Punj,landed himself exactly like this. “Guess the surf was up,” he laughs,still surprised at Ekta’s call after checking out his pics on Facebook. “I was one of the finalist in Mr India 2008,and had posted my profile shots on my Facebook account. The word spread,she checked,called me up and set up an appointment,” the Jalandhar-based lad just couldn’t say no to the godmother of Indian telly,and flew to Mumbai. “More than work,I went for the sheer curiosity factor…it’s Ekta Kapoor after all,” he gushes. Ekta had been on a hunt for Arjun’s character for about four months,and luckily,Karan’s personality fitted perfectly. Till that point,Karan had no plans of working on the telly. “I was back in Jalandhar from Florida where I was running my call centre when this happened,” he’s now capturing the audience’s interest as the brooding,egoistic,women-hating businessman Arjun Punj on the serial. “He believes that women are a waste of time and that they are only after a man’s money and status till this bubbly girl walks into his life and he slowly falls for her,” a typical Mills & Boon romance! “Love is like that,you never know when it strikes,” Karan signs off.
