After making films such as Mera Pind and Mitti Wajaan Maardi,director Manmohan Singh has teamed up with Reliance Entertainment for Ajj De Ranjhe. Starring actors Aman Dhaliwal,Gurleen Chopra,Gurpreet Ghuggi,Kimmy Verma,Deep Dhillon,Rana Ranbir,Paramveer Singh,Shaminder Mahal,Rana Jung Bahadur,Darshan Aulakh and Guggu Gill,the film has been shot in and around Chandigarh and Mumbai.

“It’s a satirical take on the police system and is being presented in a light-hearted way,” said Manmohan,who has also penned the story and screenplay while the dialogues are by Rana Ranbir,with music by Babloo Kumar and Willii Sadak. With this film,Singh has pushed himself out of the NRI-Punjabi and college-romance settings to pan his camera on the Punjab police force. “Why,when the police is meant for our safety and security,are people afraid of them and what should be done about it,” questions Singh who is trying to raise and answer these issues through Ajj De Ranjhe. The director says he’s also taking a look at the role of media in today’s world through his film. “The film will address these questions and the romantic comedy will run parallel to it,” he sums up.
