A real-life diary of a teenager is now a bestseller
“Pink and Black is straight from my heart,I wrote it without any expectations of fame or success,’’ city’s Tishaa Khosla’s surrounded by sweet success,as her book Pink or Black, published by Rupa & Co is in its 7th reprint edition. Here at the book exhibition by Rupa at Punjab Kala Bhawan,Tishaa, who is now studying film-making at New York Film Academy,is overwhelmed by the fact that thousands of teenagers write to her, describing how they connect with the book, which is an account of her personal experiences at Lawrence School Sanawar. Pink or Black explores the life of Tiana,a teenager struggling through teen years and in the process, takes readers back to school days,“it’s easy for youngsters to relate to it and I am now working on a fresh concept, probably a sequel to the book, for I get umpteen requests for it and can see the character of Tiana developing and moving further.’’

While some movie production houses have shown interest in the book to turn it into a film,Tishaa is excited about personally turning the project into reality,“I’ll be soon equipped to do it,after I complete my course,’’ smiles the soft-spoken author, who plans to move to Mumbai and work as a film director.
