DPS-40 shuttlers shine
The Delhi Public School,Sector 40,shuttlers grabbed the Badminton Inter-School Tournament for the U-14 boys beating AKSIPS-41 in the final match. In the singles match,Ishaan beat Vaibhav in straight sets by 21-5,21-5 to take the lead. Although,in the second match,DPS’s Paras Mittal lost to AKSIPS’s Akarash by 21-18,18-21,18-21 to make the score1-1. In the doubles match,the DPS duo of Paras Mittal and Ishaan drubbed Vaibhav and Akarash by 21-9,21-16 to take the title.

U-14 cricket tourney on the anvil
Saupin’s School,Sector 32,Chandigarh will organise Inter-School Cricket Tournament for under-14 commencing from Augsut 27,at Banyan Tree School Ground,Sector 48,Chandigarh. Nine teams will take part in the tournament.

Teams: Pool A: Saupin’s School- 32,Guru Nanak Public School- 36,Mount Carmel School- 47,Banyan Tree School- 48,Ryan International School- 49 (Team B). Pool B: Stepping Stones School- 37,Ryan International School- 49 (Team A),M.D.A.V Public School- 15,Ajit Karam Singh International Public School- 41. The matches will be played on league cum knock-out basis.

Dodgeball trials on August 27
The Dodgeball Association of Chandigarh will conduct trials to select the Chandigarh boys and girls dodgeball teams at Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 20-D,Chandigarh on Friday at 4.00 pm. Players born on or after 20.09.1991 are eligible to participate in the trials. Selected teams will participate in the 4th Junior National Dodgeball Championship which is going held at Jaunpur,Uttar Pardesh from September 17 to 19.The interested players can get in touch with Parveen Sharma,Director Of Physical Education,on 99884016410.
