A fine half-century by Jai Kapila (58) helped Godrej and Boyce XI to a comprehensive seven-wicket win over Citi Finacial and booked a berth in the final of the Seventh Bharat Kesho Gupta Memorial League Cricket Tournament played at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium. Batting first,Citi Financial posted a total of 142 runs in 22.4 overs. Rajinder was the top scorer for the team as he played a valuable knock of 42 runs. Vijaypal claimed three wickets for 22 runs,while Inderjeet took two wickets for 12 runs. In reply,Godrej and Boyce XI reached the target in 18.2 overs. Jai Kapila was the star of the day for the winning team as he played a knock of 58 runs. In the second semi-final of the day,HDFC Bank XI scored a 40-run win over Emirates Trading XI. Batting first,HDFC XI posted a total of 181 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 25 overs. Charanjeet Singh played an unbeaten knock of 47 runs while Rajan Singla contributed 42 runs. Chasing a target of 182 runs in 25 overs,Emirates Trading XI were bundled out for a total of 141 runs in 23.1 overs.

Chaudhary sets up Little Flower win
PANCHKULA: A superb innings by Nitin Chaudhary (54 runs) guided Little Flower Convent School Cricket Academy to a three-wicket win over hosts Hansraj Cricket Academy in a league match of the First Under-10 Twenty-20 League Cricket Tournament on Sunday. Hansraj Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first,they could post a total of 98 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Aman Kumar was the highest scorer for the team with 34 runs. Akshat Garg scored 20 runs. For Little Flower Cricket Academy,Varun Gautam claimed two wickets for 14 runs while Saksham Gupta took two wickets for 21 runs. Chasing an easy target of 99 runs,Little Flower Cricket Academy reached the target for the loss of seven wickets in 14.2 overs. Nitin Chaudhary scored 54 runs while Bhuvan Saini scored 16 runs. In another match of the day,MCM Blue Caps Academy scored a 14-run win over NICS Cricket Academy,Patiala.

SJOBA Rally concludes
Covering nearly 540 kilometres over the last two days,the rallyists roared into the finish line thus signaling the end of the 23d SJOBA Thunderbolt Sub-Himalayan Rally on Sunday. Out of the 71 participants in the Challenge Rally,only 46 (17 Gypsies,6 car,26 mobikes) were able to complete the full track. Early in the morning,Suresh Rana and Shuchi Thakur had to bow out of the rally after their Gypsies developed mechanical problems. In the TSD Rally,29 of the 30 participants completed the rally including the team of Gul Panang.
