Snowfall in tribal areas

Keylog,the district headquarter of Lahaul and Spiti,today received 10 centimeters of snowfall. The higher reaches of Kinnaur district and Chamba-Pangi also saw some fresh traces of snow and nearly one centimeter rain.

There was snowfall in the entire state,with Shimla recording the maximum at 12 centimeters. There was good rain in many areas,and Dharamshala received 5 centimetres of rain till 5.30 pm on Wednesday. The meteorological department has forecast rain and snowfall at a few places during the next 24 hours.

People had to go back to the use of heavy woollens again,with widespread snowfall in the region.
