Sathya Sai Baba remembered

Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Shivraj Patil has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Shivraj Patil has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. In his condolence message,Patil said Sathya Sai Baba’s message of love and service would continue to inspire the present and future generations. Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda,too,expressed grief and said Satya Sai Baba was a great philanthropist and spiritual leader who had millions of devotees all over the world. He also described him as a great social worker who dedicated his life to the cause of the poor. Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Singh said he was deeply saddened by the news. He said Sathya Sai Baba was a great soul who had set up a great example of philanthropy by opening hospitals and educational institutions where best health and educational services were provided free of cost to the needy. In Shimla,prayers and condolence meetings were organised at Baba’s ashram Anand Vilas at Pujrali,where he had paid his last visit exactly a year ago. Shayam Sunder,president Sathya Sai Trust in Himachal Pradesh,said: “We are deeply hurt by the demise of Guru Ji. Prayers are being held at Anand Vilas.”
