Sarvjit Singh new UT Finance Secy

Sarvjit Singh has also held the post of Chief Administrator of Greater Mohali Area Development Authority.

Punjab cadre IAS officer Sarvjit Singh took over as the new UT Finance Secretary on Thursday. His predecessor V K Singh was relieved from office a fortnight back after completion of his three-year tenure.

A 1992 batch officer, Sarvjit Singh was posted as Secretary Revenue. He was selected from a panel that included three names. Apart from him 1990 batch IAS officer Anurag Aggarwal and 1995 batch officer Hussan Lal were the other names that were part of the panel that was sent by the Punjab government.

Sarvjit Singh has also held the post of Chief Administrator of Greater Mohali Area Development Authority. He is familiar with the Metro Rail project. He had started his career as Sub-divisional Officer in September 1993. He has served for three years as Senior Regional Manager of Food Corporation of India.
